How do hashtags work?

Created by Daniel Osborn, Modified on Wed, 28 Aug at 5:16 PM by Daniel Osborn

Anyone can create new chat topics in air.

A topic is a group chat, and is named with a hashtag, for example, #learning.

Hashtag names can contain letters, numbers and hyphens, but not spaces.

You may choose to make your chat topics public or private. Private chat topics are only visible to invited participants.

You may use hashtags within your posts in a chat topic to refer to another chat topic. Other users are then able to click the hashtag in your post to read related public chat topics on air. For example, if you mention #learning and #development, these hashtags will link to these two chat topics.

In addition, your post will appear in these two topics.
