Add a shortcut to the home screen on your phone

You can add a shortcut to the air application on the home screen of your smartphone or tablet.

The air application is not an application that you install on your smartphone, it is a web application that runs in the browser on your smartphone. However, you can still add a shortcut so you can open it quickly.

The video below explains how to do this for both Apple and Android devices. A written guide can be found below the video including instructions for alternative devices.

Android

To add a shortcut on a smartphone using Android, do the following:

  1. Start the Chrome web browser application.
  2. Browse to the air log in page https://air.impactinternational.com/login
  3. Tap the menu button in the Chrome browser, then tap Add to home screen.
  4. Type a name for the shortcut, for example, 'air'.

Chrome adds the shortcut on your home screen.

The shortcut to air opens as if it's an installed application: it doesn't look like a page in a web browser and you can switch to it as you would any other application.

Other popular browsers for Android also support this feature. For example, in Firefox for Android, tap the menu button, tap Page, then tap Add to Home Screen.

iPhone, iPad, & iPod Touch

To add a shortcut on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, do the following:

  1. Start the Safari web browser application.
  2. Browse to the air log in page https://air.impactinternational.com/login
  3. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen:

  4. Tap Add to Home Screen in the Share menu.
  5. Type a name for the shortcut, for example, 'air'.
  6. Tap Add.

Safari adds the shortcut to your home screen.

Windows phone

To add a shortcut on a Windows phone, do the following:

  1. Start the Internet Explorer web browser application.
  2. Browse to the air log in page https://air.impactinternational.com/login
  3. Tap the More (…) button.
  4. Tap Pin to Start.

Windows Phone 8.1 supports live tile updates from websites that have configured the feature.

Other smartphones and browsers

If you have another type of smartphone or tablet, or another type of browser, it may also have this feature. Open a browser and look in the menu for an option such as Add to home screen or Pin to home screen.

How to remove the air shortcut

To remove a website shortcut from your device’s home screen, press and hold the shortcut then remove it as you would any other application shortcut.
